Indian student conducts research at EST

The Indo-German Centre for Sustainability (IGCS) provides scholarships to students and researchers whose projects in the field of sustainability will benefit from a research exchange between India and Germany.

The Research Centre for Energy Storage Technologies (EST) is pleased to announce that Sancia Morris, a student at the Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai, India, will be supporting Dr. Aleksandra Gladkova in the MacGhyver project over the next few months. The MacGhyver project takes a holistic approach to sustainable energy production. By developing a cost-effective, compact and energy-efficient system for hydrogen production, the aim is to achieve far-reaching ecological and economic benefits for the energy sector. Sancia Morris' research makes a decisive contribution to the optimization of materials for the industrial production of green hydrogen. During her research stay, Ms. Morris will focus on the development of electrochemical coated electrodes based on non-critical and cost-effective raw materials (non-CRM), e.g. stainless steels, which enable high efficiency in water electrolysis due to their complex structure. The EST is pleased to be able to promote scientific exchange between India and Germany through this research visit.

About the Indo-German Centre for Sustainability (IGCS):
