New textbook on chemical reaction engineering
The new textbook by Prof Robert Güttel (University of Ulm) and Prof Thomas Turek has just been published by Springer-Verlag.
This new textbook presents the basics of calculating chemical reactors in a compact and modern structure. It provides a solid foundation for both students and professionals and is suitable for self-study. The basic concepts of chemical reaction engineering are introduced using generally valid mathematical descriptions and supplemented with a large number of illustrative and in-depth examples. More complex problems that require numerical solution methods are also dealt with, thus building a bridge to professional practice. The book thus also provides a basis for the mathematical modelling and numerical simulation of real, multiphase reactors, which is a cornerstone for the modern work of reaction engineers in digitalised professional practice.
The book is available for students at Clausthal University of Technology via SpringerLink (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-662-63150-8) and is now available as a printed edition or e-book in stores (https://www.springer.com/de/book/9783662631492#aboutBook).
